The Alliances Françaises network of the English-speaking Caribbean is composed of 8 Alliances: Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago. The Alliance Française of Saint Lucia is the general delegation of the Alliances Françaises network in the English-speaking Caribbean. These are not only vectors for the dissemination of French, but also cultural operators of the Embassy.

Grouped within the Fondation Alliances Françaises, the Alliances Françaises are part of a network of more than 800 Alliances throughout the world. They are non-profit associations under local law and have 3 main missions : 

• To offer French language courses, in France and throughout the world, to all publics,
• To make French culture and French-speaking cultures better known, in all their dimensions,
• To promote cultural diversity by highlighting all cultures.

Every year, the Alliances Françaises of the English-speaking Caribbean welcome hundreds of students in their French courses for all ages (children, teenagers, adults) and all publics. They offer courses in general French as well as professional French or FOS (French for Specific Purposes). They are also official examination centres for DELF/DALF, TEF and TCF. Our alliances play an important role in providing language training to international students applying for university, professional or technical training in the academies of Guadeloupe and Martinique.

A Campus France corner was set up in March 2021 at the Alliance Française de Sainte-Lucie to inform Caribbean students about study opportunities in France.
