Overview

Hong Kong French cultural and language centre since 1953.
Alliance Française de Hong Kong is a self-financing, non-profit-making association run by a committee formed by local personalities and dedicated to foster French language and culture in the spirit of multicultural dialogue in Hong Kong.

AFHK organises various kinds of activities gathering the French culture and language lovers in Hong Kong.

The four main activities of Alliance Française de Hong Kong are:

  • Offering French courses for adults, teenagers and children taught by qualified native French teachers in its three centres: Wanchai, Jordan and Shatin.
  • Providing services of la médiathèque, the largest French multimedia library and giving access to Culturethèque, the digital French Library.
  • Organizing French cultural and social events, on its own or in partnership with local and international institutions, such as the French Cinepanorama (Hong Kong French Film Festival), Le French May, the French-speaking world festival or Arts de vivre events.
  • Publishing PAROLES, a bilingual cultural magazine (French and Chinese) which is the longest running cultural magazine in Hong Kong.

Being a student or a member of the Alliance Française gives you an array of privileges, from accessing to la médiathèque and Culturethèque, to discounts on AF events or selected French products and services.
