In January 2019 a memorandum of understanding was signed between Engineers Australia and the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur to facilitate the recognition of French engineering degrees in Australia.

French Engineers can now benefit from a streamlined assessment pathway, without having to write a Competency Demonstration Report, provided that they hold an eligible qualification.*
You will need to provide only a piece of ID, a CV, a copy of your degree certificate and full transcript and a translation of the documents if they are not in English.

Planning to migrate to Australia and need your skills recognised as part of your visa application?
- Apply for the Migration Skills Assessment! Follow the instructions for recognised international qualifications. Information is available online, in Section B of the Migration Skills Assessment Booklet. When applying online, select the pathway “Washington Accord”.**

Already in Australia, seeking to get your skills recognised?
- You can apply for membership of Engineers Australia directly, without having to do a prior assessment. https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/Membership.
You will gain professional recognition known across Australia and be able to work towards gaining the Chartered credentials for even greater recognition and international mobility.
