Outstanding academic results at two French schools are testimony to the top quality of French education in Australia.

In keeping with previous years, students at the French schools in Australia have obtained excellent results at the French Baccalaureate in 2015. With a 100% success rate both at the Lycée Condorcet in Sydney and at Telopea Park School in Canberra, the majority of Baccalaureate graduates have been awarded honours. At the Lycée Condorcet in Sydney, the Scientific Section achieved impressive results, as all students were awarded honours – including 30% of First Class Honours (mention Très Bien). The Economics and Sociology Section also achieved remarkable results, with 80% of students awarded honours – including 50% of First Class Honours (mention Très Bien). Telopea Park School boasts similarly impressive results, including 6 First Class Honours (mention Très Bien) awarded this year, of which 5 have an ATAR equivalent over 99.

Results at the Brevet des Collèges (the French equivalent of GCSE) for 2015 are highly commendable as well, with a 100% success rate at both Telopea Park School and the Lycée Condorcet in Sydney. Telopea Park School had 39% of First Class Honours (mention Très Bien) and 34% of Second Class Honours (mention Bien). These results are all the more outstanding as 80% of students were English-speakers. Students at the Lycée Condorcet in Sydney should also be praised, with 98% of students awarded honours, including 30% of First Class Honours (mention Très Bien).

The outstanding academic results of students at these two French schools are testimony to the top quality of French education in Australia – a success story that proves attractive to Australians as French bilingual sections are increasingly popular in Australia. The latest addition to the active French-Australian schools network is Tingalpa State School (QLD) where a bilingual section was launched in June 2015.
