About the research centre or Inria department

Grenoble Rhône-Alpes Research Center groups together a few less than 800 people in 39 research teams and 8 research support departments.

Staff is localized on 5 campuses in Grenoble and Lyon, in close collaboration with labs, research and higher education institutions in Grenoble and Lyon, but also with the economic players in these areas.

Present in the fields of software, high-performance computing, Internet of things, image and data, but also simulation in oceanography and biology, it participates at the best level of international scientific achievements and collaborations in both Europe and the rest of the world.

Context

Within the framework of a partnership (you can choose between)

  • collaboration between 2 Inria teams: Inria CHROMA and Inria DANTE, in Lyon
  • public (Inria) with DGA (DYNAFLOCK project 2019-22)

The objective is to obtain a PhD thesis in computer sciences/robotics.

Assignment

Assignments :
Supervized by Olivier Simonin, Prof. INSA Lyon, and by Isabelle Guerin-Lassous, Prof. Lyon 1, the PhD student will work mainly in CITI lab., with the support of the engineer of the DYNAFLOCK project.

Technical skills and level required :

Languages : french or english

Other valued appreciated : experience in modeling/simulation of distributed systems or in robotics/networks would be an advantage.

Remuneration

1st and 2nd year : 1 982 euros brut /month
