Founded in May 2003, BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. (BBA) is a joint venture between the BMW Group and Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd. Business operations of BBA include production, sales and after-sales services of BMW automobiles in China. BBA has a state-of-the-art production base in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, a branch company in Beijing and an extensive national sales and service network. The joint venture employees around 20,000 people and has a network of nearly 400 local suppliers. It has been the top taxpayer in Shenyang for14 consecutive years.

In this position you are responsible for development, calibration and integration of Battery-Management-Systems (BMS) functions in close cooperation with suppliers, project partners and BMW AG.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Manages HV-Battery requirements in close collaboration with the platform development team
Ensures the maturity of implemented functions according to the software integration and maturity plan
Give software release recommendation according the software integration plan
Interface of HV-Battery E/E sub-component (e.g. BMU, CSC, S-BOX) to suppliers and joint venture partners (e.g. definition of hardware and software content of upcoming sample phases, E/E change management, general information exchange, etc.)
Responsible for E/E failure analysis in cooperation with suppliers and joint venture partners
Design and calibrate functions according to requirements and function integration plan. Adapt functions for specific projects via calibration (parametrization) and design modification
Performs requirement reviews and ensures the patency of requirements on component level
Supports test validation team for the creation of test specifications
Participate in problem management processes (e.g. ALM or PQM). Take over relevant roles (e.g. sensor or solution responsible) and follow the process rules
Responsible for root cause analysis of HV-Battery related quality issues during development phase in collaboration with validation team
Support for root cause analysis of HV-Battery related quality issues at production and customer vehicles.

Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, software engineering or related majors
Understanding of architectures and components in hybrid and electric vehicles
HV battery management systems and functions
Understanding of HV battery electric and thermal behavior at cell and pack level
Modelling, simulation and code generation with Matlab/Simulink tool chain
Knowledge in measurement and CAN communication tools (e.g. INCA, CANalyzer,…)
Driving skills and working with high voltage systems
Strong project management and planning skills
Self-responsible and reliable working attitude even under pressure
Analytic skills and structured working methods
Languages skills: Chinese and English business fluent
Very good communication skills and ability to stand your ground in difficult situations
Willingness to frequent travelling inside China and extent trips to Munich (2 to 12 weeks)
Excitement for new energy vehicles
Working experience as engineer in software or function development or validation 3-6 Years
working experience in the automotive development for powertrain or vehicle electronics 3-6 Years
working experience with measurement systems incl. hardware and software 3-6 Years
Optional working experience with high voltage systems like HV batteries and E-motors, electric energy converters and bus communication 3-6 Years.
Languages:

Chinese: Mother tongue
German or English: Proficiency-oral, reading and writing required
