Established in 1957, the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA de Lyon) is a French Grande École, with very selective criteria admission. A national public institution, INSA de Lyon trains engineers in 12 specialty and 23 laboratories. Some 5,400 students including 4,500 engineering students are enrolled in the five-year program. INSA employs an administrative and technical staff of 680 teachers and researchers.
