The Université Paris Ouest, originally a branch of the Sorbonne, was created in 1970. It is located to the west of Paris on a vast 67-acre campus near La Défense business centre. At present, it has nearly 32,000 students, 2,000 faculty members and 725 administrative support staff.
Each year, nearly 5,000 students coming from all the continents pursue their studies at the Université Paris X.
